Since Courthouse News Service first reported that I, along with Bon Blossman and Dena Miller, had been named as a defendant in a lawsuit filed by Style Network’s Big Rich Texas cast member Pamela Martin-Duarte, I’ve been getting the shakedown from readers.
I didn’t strategize and decide to remain silent, I’m just not a fan of redundancy. And since this was already getting the level of coverage usually reserved for tsunami devastation and the like, I figured we were good on details.
But it seems that even after people filtered through Twitter feeds and read the scoop as reported by Dallas Morning News, Dallas Observer, Texas Monthly, D Magazine, Pegasus News and others, questions still lingered.
So in the spirit of streamlining information, I’ve developed this FAQ.
Q: Is it true that you were sued by Pamela Martin-Duarte?
A: It sounds like it. However, I base that on news reports only. I’ve never been served, haven’t seen a copy of the filing and have not received any other type of correspondence about the original petition or the non-suit.
Q: Why did she sue you and then drop you from the suit?
A: I have no idea. But honestly, I’m not super certain we’re playing with a full deck here.
Q: Have you ever met Pam?
A: No. In the process of recapping Dallas Divas Daughters and 2 seasons of Big Rich Texas, I’ve interviewed her over the phone and have been the recipient of her f-bomb throwin’ e-mails. But I’ve never had the thrill of seeing her in action without the safety of a television screen between us.
Q: It has been reported that the suit she filed says you are jealous of her. Are you jealous of Pamela?
A: Totally.
So, though I understand this isn’t directly associated with the lawsuit, why are you now doing the recaps independently instead of for FrontRow?

If you’re now doing episode re-caps indepependently, does it mean that on this site I can say that Pam is a cunt without it being auto-censored into “Pam is a C***” ?
Incidentally, I’M jealous of Pam. She’s beautiful. She’s sad, but beautiful.

It’s been my dream to see this wretched human being in the flesh because I cannot believe someone like this actually exists in an unscripted world. I’m afraid that may never happen, though, since I actually live in Dallas.

Bonnie is a sweet woman and by all accounts you are as well. It seems as with another cast member, Pam has once again met her match with someone just like her in this Dena character. Sorry she did NOT rule the rock scene in the 80′s out here in LA. These two ladies can have at eachother. Sorry you and Bonnie got dragged into it. Best of luck with this bunch…. And the only ones to get “richer” will be the attorneys……
Pam? Beautiful? As soon as she opens her filthy mouth anything attractive about her vanishes in an instant. Such a hateful, vindictive person and one pathetic role model for any impressionable young ladies that may watch her spew her hate/filth/garbage on tv. Feel so sorry for her daughter. Mothers are supposed to teach their daughters BY EXAMPLE how to be gentle, kind, gracious wives and mothers. It seems as if Pam has one hot temper, zero tolerance for anyone else’s thoughts or opinions, a completely filthy mouth and a penchant for not being able to resist attacking others IN PUBLIC and generally stirring up hatred. She is ALWAYS the one to start the filthy language/smack talk. This vile human seems to feed off of antagonizing others.
Poor, poor Hannah. Hope she doesn’t turn out like her mother. Run Hannah. Run as fast and far as you can from that thing that birthed you. She’s a baaaaad seed. Follow in her footsteps or not… It’s your choice, but if you do, you won’t have any true friends and forget about finding a wonderful guy for a partner. No decent guy wants a filthy mouthed shrew by his side, much less someone with an attitude like Pam’s. Her husband must be a masochist. Or perhaps very much like his wife in the way he helped Pam attack Leslie at that party early on. What a nasty crowd. A real shame she was given an opportunity to alienate millions via television. Most of the hateful women (certainly can’t call many of them “ladies”) on the show are really ugly in how they interact, but Pam is a nasty all her own.
So I guess Pam’s deal is, be as obnoxious, vile and hateful as you can in order to secure a bigger bank account. Bad choice Pam. Very bad choice. Selling your soul for a little cash. Grow a conscience, apologize to your daughter for the pathetic example you have set and start over. Teach your daughter about what’s REALLY valuable in this life. And honey, money isn’t it.
Still can not believe Heidi Dillon let Pam into her “circle”. Run Heidi. Then go get some frontline for the fleas. Can’t believe ANYONE would actually want to spend time with such a low class witch. Apparently the wealthy aren’t as descriminating as they would like people to believe. Oh, that’s right. It’s all about “networking”. More like feasting on each other like a bunch of vultures to see who can use each other the most. Sad.

Pam was really getting annoying on Big Rich Texas anyways. Bonnie is funny and she should continue to be on the show. No one wants to see Pam run everywhere with that Heidi weirdo anyways! They both look like plastic freaks with too many injections! Heidi try something with that neck of yours too!!
I think Pam’s just upset because everyone sees her true colors & she can’t make money anymore….Next thing you know, she’ll be moving to Lago just so people will still think she’s got money….lol
We can only hope she & Ignacio(sp?) move to Lago. I can’t stomach the thought of her returning to BRT! I feel the same way about the whack-job Heidi due to her tacit acceptance of Pam’s behavior & treatment of other cast members – with the exception of her disciple Melissa & her butterball-Maddie.
Pam is the most vile being on this Earth, and I am beyond thrilled she is not coming back. She is just another reason, probably the best reason I can think of to NEVER live in Dallas. Good riddance to bad rubbish IMHO.
