Pamela Martin-Duarte Drops Her Sword in Fight Against 1 of 3 Defendants

Pamela Martin-Duarte

UPDATE: Martin-Duarte’s dismissal was filed today. You can read it here.

Pamela Martin Duarte has dropped her lawsuit against Dallas socialite Dena Miller. This statement released by Allyson Aynesworth of Media Matters provides a fluffy, cryptic explanation.

I love Aynesworth. She’s a kumbaya-love-the-universe type. So allow me to translate. Here’s what I think she meant to say.

After reading an anonymous comment on the D Magazine website in February of this year, Duarte decided to file random lawsuits against those she thought were responsible. Rather than researching to find the source in advance, she rushed to her closet of villain costumes and threw on her plaintiff’s cape. She chunked grenades around town before receiving records that concretely identified the anonymous commenter, “Dr. Hamilton.”

Instead of saying, “My bad,” and offering to pay Miller’s legal bills, Duarte acted like her methods were standard operating procedure and continued with depositions.

After Duarte’s depo by Miller’s attorney, the case was suddenly dropped.  I bet it was.

The cases against Big Rich Texas cast member Bon Blossman and some woman in Rockwall named Terri Hernandez are still in progress.

Sources say Duarte is not returning for season 3 of Big Rich Texas.

  1. John says:

That could be the best Christmas present of all if she didn’t return!
Well…any holiday where you receive gifts really.
Ok. Even if you don’t receive gifts on a certain holiday it is still the best thing ever.
